The Jewellery Box presents a detailed view of one hundred years of Danish jewellery design.
The book contains more than 600 ilustration and 190 biograhies of Danish jewellery designers
and silversmiths in a unique encyclopaedia of design, stamps silver marks, dates and materials.
The book title refers to the permanent exhibition of The Jewellery Box, which opened 2017
in the historic “Den Gamle By” in Aarhus, Denmark.
The book as well as the exhibition shows a unique collection of close to 1000 pieces of
jewellery accumulated through forty years by German collectors Marion and Jörg Schwandt.
